Partnership for Birth and Beyond
1 day workshop for expectant couples
Offered at the Sanctuary Birth & Family Wellness Center
.

Pregnancy is a changing time in a relationship. And of course, with the birth of your new baby, there will be more changes and more demands upon your relationship. Your roles will be changing as you become mother and father. The real question is how do you weather these changes in a place of partnership?. How do you stay connected as a couple while your focus is changing from being a couple and into being a family? This workshop will address these concerns as well as giving you tools to stay connected in partnership through these transitions!

Some of the topics covered in this workshop:
-Changing roles (things to expect and planning for the changes)
-Relying on one another healthfully (not co-dependently)
-Making the honeymoon last (even when the baby is crying)
-Balancing your relationship with caring for your family
-What she needs
/what he needs...(pregnancy, birth and postpartum)
-Sexuality and keeping your love alive

Taught by Heather Ann Schwarz and Brian Golub. Our relationship began over 15 years ago. Shortly after we began, we got pregnant with our first child (now 14). Our journey has not always been perfect but somehow after all these years and now two children, we are still happily in love, married and committed to one another. It is our desire to share what we have learned from parenting and partnership with couples going through these transitions.

This is a 1 day workshop held every other month beginning in March 2011.
