Spiritual Companionship

Spiritual Companionship

Many people carry a deep longing of the heart and soul — a quiet ache for something more real, more intimate, more alive. Sometimes that longing isn’t fully satisfied by a place of worship, a spiritual community, or the forms of religion they’ve inherited, even when they still value those practices and the goodness they’ve received there.

Often, they sense that something essential is calling them — drawing them deeper — and yet they don’t know where to turn. They may feel alone in their questions, unsure how to trust their own spiritual experience, or afraid of “getting it wrong.” They might wonder: Is this restlessness a problem… or is it an invitation?

What spiritual companionship is

Spiritual companionship is for those who sense there is something real — something they may feel in nature, with animals, in moments of deep connection, or in quiet stillness. It’s for those who know this “something” cannot be reduced to doctrine, moral rules, external authority, or inherited belief systems.
It is for people who desire to know God, the Divine, or Ultimate Reality experientially, not just conceptually. Not as an idea to agree with, but as a Presence to encounter. A relationship to grow into. A truth that becomes lived.

This work offers a steady, grounded space to:
  • turn inward
  • listen more deeply
  • discern what is true
  • and notice how the Divine is already moving within and through your life

Rather than reinforcing religious identity or inherited answers, spiritual companionship supports an inward way of knowing — one rooted in direct experience, spiritual discernment, and the deepening of trust.

What we may explore together

Each session is responsive to what you’re living and what you’re genuinely seeking. We may explore:

  • your relationship with God / the Divine (including doubts, dryness, grief, longing, or desire)
  • questions of meaning, purpose, and inner calling
  • spiritual discernment: learning what brings life and what brings contraction
  • prayer as relationship and presence (not performance)
  • mystical themes across traditions: union, surrender, love, emptiness, compassion, transformation
  • healing distorted images of God and releasing fear-based spirituality
  • developing a clearer connection with inner guidance
  • learning to listen for spiritual truth in ordinary life (not only in peak experiences)
This can also include making space for what arises naturally in the spiritual path: changes in identity, seasons of unknowing, tender endings, new beginnings, and the quiet rearrangement of what matters most.

A grounded, heart-centered approach

In our sessions, the focus isn’t on having “perfect beliefs” or the right spiritual vocabulary. It’s on becoming more honest, receptive, and real — and learning to recognize spiritual truth as something that is embodied, not merely believed.

As you tune the ear of your heart to the guidance available to you, you may find yourself living with greater integrity, clarity, love, and connection — not because you forced yourself to be different, but because something deeper is coming online within you.

My approach
My approach and spirituality are shaped by mysticism — the experiential heart found across many spiritual traditions. I work with people from a range of religious backgrounds, including Christianity, and also seekers who feel “spiritual but not religious,” and those who do not currently identify with a formal tradition.

Many of the people I support are drawn toward a deeper, more intimate relationship with the Divine and a more honest relationship with themselves — one that is compassionate, grounded, and free of fear.

I don’t impose beliefs or try to convert anyone. Instead, I support you in listening to your own lived experience with reverence and discernment, so you can live from a deeper spiritual ground — rooted in direct knowing, inner transformation, and a growing sense that God and Reality, at their core, are good.

Spiritual companionship may be for you if…

  • you feel a longing for a deeper spiritual life, but don’t know where to turn
  • your faith is changing and you want support navigating that transition
  • you feel drawn to mysticism, contemplation, or “direct knowing”
  • you want to deepen prayer and spiritual practice without pressure or performance
  • you feel called beyond inherited answers and are ready to listen inward
  • you want a spiritual space that is real, compassionate, and non-shaming

You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. The longing itself is often part of the guidance. Spiritual companionship offers a steady place to listen, to deepen, and to remember what is already alive in you.
